Greenwood Magnetics (previously H.S. Greenwood & Sons Ltd) was founded in Rochdale in 1948 by the director of a local textile firm, who was concerned about frequent fires and damage to the machinery as a result of metal contamination. He decided to use magnets to protect the machinery.

Over the years the company has expanded and developed its range and now manufactures permanent magnetic metal extractors, separators and assemblies for many varied industries, incorporating the latest magnetic materials.

We offer on-site inspection at your convenience to assess your problems and discuss your requirements. We will advise on installation and maintenance.

If you are not happy with the final product, we will re-engineer it until you are completely satisfied.

Powerful rare earth magnets are increasingly being demanded by our customers especially in the food industry. As a result we now manufacture our full range in either standard ferrite or rare earth material, typically neodymium-iron-boron. We use the latest CAD technology to design our products or develop an application specifically to your requirements, which we will email to you for your inspection and modification.
