The Greenwood Permanent Magnet type CPM38 with a 50mm wide magnetic stainless steel face is designed primarily for extracting ferrous metals from materials on carding, needle looms and needle punching machines. The CPM38 (Continuous Pole Magnet) will extract surface and loosely embedded needles and card wire if fitted 25mm above the material being processed.

Each end of the magnet is fitted with a pivot stud supported by aluminium brackets which are then secured to the side mounting of the needle loom or machine. The height of the suspended magnet can be adjusted by utilising the slots provided in the brackets. The magnet can be manufactured to any length however for lengths over 3 metres we advise fitting 2-3 magnets to prevent sagging.

• Magnet strength - will extract ferrous metal objects weighing 12 grams against gravity from a distance of 100mm (12 grams is equivalent to the weight of a standard 100mm long nail).
